Canada's source for Grohmann® Knives
Great all purpose knife with regular open sheath for quick access. Great for boating, canoeing, sailing, camping, hunting and fishing. The triangular shaped handle makes for a better grip when wet.
Blade Information
Grohmann takes pride in their products and that means using high quality materials. Grohmann's most popular steel in the outdoor fixed blade knives are fashioned from european high carbon stainless steels, such as 4110, which is somewhat comparable to the USA 440 series. This steel has stood the test of time due to its ease of sharpening and edge holding ability.
Rockwell hardness 56-58 degrees is maintained throughout all of the Outdoor knives.
Handle Information
Handles are as important to the quality of Gromann Outdoor knives as are their blades. Since all handles involve natural materials, no two handles are alike. Safety, comfort, balance and lasting beauty are handcrafted into each one. After all, your knife must "feel right".
Linen Micarta
Grohmann has added the black linen micarta to their line. Micarta is commonly called the "steel of the plastic family" for its strength and durability and is similar to G-10. Composed of layers of linen soaked in resin, it is lightweight yet tough, has a slighty linen textured look but fairly smooth to the touch when finished.
Sheath Information
Superior handcrafted quality also refers to Grohmann’s custom designed leather sheaths. Every Belt Knife comes with a top grade oil tanned sheath. All leather sheaths are made of 6 to 8 ounce steer-hide that is glued, stitched and riveted for maximum strength & durability. Each sheath is then oiled tanned and polished by hand to give it a beautiful finish.
The sheath that comes with this Grohmann Knife features a pouch to hold the 6 inch sharpening steel. Perfect for quick sharpening touch-ups in the field.
