I purchased the Pot 1800 along with a Svea Stove by Optimus for backpacking/winter camping. Considerations were: weight, strength, size, price and material. Titanium is an excellent material and weight but the price is steep (I have to answer to the Boss :)). Aluminum is affordable, light but not overly strong and there are health concerns. I like stainless steel but it is the weightiest of materials... until now. The 1800, for it's size (which I wanted in case of other camping members) is light compared to other products I've seen. I was skeptical until I received it. You get a lid and metric/imperial volume graduations stamped on the inside where they belong. The pouring lip gives a clean pour. There's a folding horizontal handle and a vertical handle. They thought of everything. Delivery of items came one day early. This isn't the first time I ordered from Stapleton's and it won't be the last.
