Second bivy

I actually own the other bivy which Adventure Gear sells and so far am the only review for it as well. This is the my second bivy then. I like this one because it has the loft where your head goes. It's also very long which is good for me (since I'm 6'8" tall). It also has a cool gear loft above your head with a zipper so you can put a phone and watch a movie, have a place to put your flashlight, stow away your valuables or to put your keys and other sharp items so you don't puncture your air pad!

In Canada, even our Summer overnight temperatures can be cool. So I personally like to have an air pad as well as a foamy on the bottom. There's not enough room to put both of these items in this bivy, but it works well to put the air pad inside which is good enough. There's stake out loops in key places so that you can put a foam pad underneath and it'll stay in place.

The best feature of this bivy is the bug netting. It's the reason why I'd use this one over the other bivy I have. Most people would cringe to the idea of a spider crawling on their face and maybe biting their cheek while they are sleeping... there's a much lower chance of that happening with this bivy. The zippers are a bit awkward though and are something to get used to. The side entry is better than some entries I've seen with other bivies.

I have not experienced inclement weather with this bivy, but I would feel confident in doing so. It can get a little bit hot inside though, so it would definitely take some trial and error in order to find out what rating of sleeping bag, base layers, etc would be best for you.

I definitely recommend this bivy and Adventure Gear is an excellent company to deal with.
